Artist Bio:
Matthews' Southern Comfort is a British folk-rock band formed in 1970 by singer-songwriter Iain Matthews. The band's name was a play on the name of the popular British train called the "Southern Belle." Matthews' Southern Comfort gained success with their cover of Joni Mitchell's song "Woodstock," which reached the top of the UK Singles Chart in 1970. The band's self-titled debut album, released the same year, also included the hit single "Woodstock."

After the initial success of Matthews' Southern Comfort, the band went through various lineup changes and released several more albums before disbanding in the mid-1970s. In 2010, Iain Matthews revived the band with a new lineup, and they have since released new music and toured internationally, carrying on the legacy of Matthews' Southern Comfort.
