Artist Bio:
MC5, short for Motor City 5, was an American rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan, in 1964. The band is considered one of the pioneers of the punk rock and heavy metal genres. MC5's music was characterized by their energetic and politically charged lyrics, as well as their raw and high-energy live performances. They were known for their rebellious attitude and their influence on the counterculture movement of the 1960s and 1970s.

MC5 released their debut album "Kick Out the Jams" in 1969, which is considered a classic of the genre. The band's sound combined elements of rock, blues, and psychedelic music, creating a unique and powerful sound that resonated with their fans. Despite their influence and critical acclaim, MC5 disbanded in 1972 due to internal conflicts and commercial struggles. However, their impact on the music industry and their legacy as one of the pioneers of punk rock and heavy metal remains significant to this day.
