McGuinn, Clark & Hillman was a folk rock supergroup formed in 1979 by three former members of the iconic band The Byrds: Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, and Chris Hillman. The trio released their self-titled debut album in 1979 under Capitol Records, which received critical acclaim for its harmonious vocals and classic folk rock sound. The album featured songs written by all three members, showcasing their songwriting talents and musical chemistry.
Despite the initial success of their debut album, McGuinn, Clark & Hillman disbanded in 1981 after releasing a second album titled "City" in 1980. The group briefly reunited in the 1980s for live performances and released a compilation album titled "Backstage Pass" in 1991.
