Miami Sound Machine is a band formed in 1975 in Miami, Florida. The group was originally known as Miami Latin Boys before changing their name to Miami Sound Machine. Led by Cuban-American singer Gloria Estefan, the band became known for their fusion of pop, dance, and Latin music. Miami Sound Machine achieved international success in the 1980s and 1990s with hits like "Dr. Beat," "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You," and "Conga." Gloria Estefan, the lead singer, went on to have a successful solo career after the band's break-up in the late 1980s.
