Artist Bio:
Michael Cooper (1941-1973) was an American photographer known for his work in the 1960s and 1970s. He was a prominent figure in the psychedelic art scene, particularly in San Francisco, where he documented the counterculture movement and the music scene of the era. Cooper was renowned for his innovative and experimental photography techniques, often incorporating distortion and manipulation to create surreal and vibrant images. His work captured the spirit of the time, with vibrant colors and psychedelic patterns that reflected the energy and creativity of the era.

Cooper's most famous photographs include album covers for iconic bands such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and The Doors. His images helped to define the visual aesthetic of the psychedelic rock movement, and his work continues to be celebrated for its artistic vision and cultural significance. Tragically, Cooper's life was cut short when he passed away in 1973 at the young age of 32.
