Artist Bio:
Michael Gore is an American composer and lyricist, born on March 5, 1951. He is best known for his work in musical theater, particularly for writing the music for the hit Broadway musical "Fame" in 1980. The musical, which followed the lives of students at the High School of Performing Arts in New York City, was a commercial success and won two Grammy Awards for its soundtrack.


Gore has also worked on other successful projects, including composing the music for the film "Terms of Endearment" in 1983, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Original Score. In addition to his work in musical theater and film, Gore has also collaborated with artists such as Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, and Aretha Franklin. His contributions to the music industry have earned him critical acclaim and multiple awards throughout his career.
