Mike Pinera is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter who was born on September 29, 1948, in Tampa, Florida. He is best known for his work as a member of the bands Blues Image and Iron Butterfly. Pinera joined Blues Image in 1966 and helped them achieve success with their hit single "Ride Captain Ride" in 1970. He later joined Iron Butterfly in 1970 and contributed to their album "Metamorphosis."
In addition to his work with Blues Image and Iron Butterfly, Pinera has also been a member of other bands such as Ramatam and Alice Cooper's band. He has released several solo albums and has collaborated with various artists throughout his career. Pinera continues to perform and tour, showcasing his skills as a guitarist and vocalist to audiences around the world.
