Missing Persons is an American new wave band formed in Los Angeles in 1980. Missing Persons released their debut album, "Spring Session M," in 1982, which included the hit singles "Words" and "Destination Unknown." The band's music videos were popular on MTV and helped them gain a dedicated fan base. Missing Persons disbanded in 1986 but reunited in 2001 and have continued to perform sporadically over the years.
