Missing Persons is an American new wave band formed in 1980 in Los Angeles, California. The band was fronted by lead vocalist Dale Bozzio and was known for their quirky and innovative music style. They achieved commercial success with hits such as "Walking in L.A." and "Words." The band's sound combined elements of pop, rock, and new wave, and they were known for their energetic live performances and futuristic visual aesthetic.


Missing Persons released three studio albums between 1982 and 1986 before disbanding in 1986. They briefly reunited in the late 2000s for live performances and released a new album titled "Missing in Action" in 2014. The band has been praised for their unique sound and contribution to the new wave music scene of the 1980s.
