Mitch Miller was an American musician, singer, conductor, record producer, and television personality. He was born on July 4, 1911, in Rochester, New York, and passed away on July 31, 2010, at the age of 99. Miller is best known for his work as a conductor and producer at Columbia Records, where he helped launch the careers of many popular artists in the 1950s and 1960s.


Miller was also a successful recording artist in his own right, with hits like "The Yellow Rose of Texas" and "The River Kwai March/Colonel Bogey March." He was the host of the popular television show "Sing Along with Mitch," which aired from 1961 to 1966 and featured a chorus singing along with popular songs.
