Molly Hatchet is an American Southern rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1971. The band is known for their guitar-driven sound, influenced by acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band. Molly Hatchet gained popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits like "Flirtin' with Disaster" and "Dreams I'll Never See."


The band's self-titled debut album, released in 1978, achieved multi-platinum status and solidified their place in the Southern rock genre. Molly Hatchet has undergone numerous lineup changes over the years, with guitarist Dave Hlubek being the only original member remaining until his death in 2017. Despite these changes, the band continues to tour and release new music, keeping their legacy alive for fans of Southern rock.
