Montell Jordan is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer who was born on December 3, 1968, in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his hit single "This Is How We Do It," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1995. The song's success helped propel Jordan to stardom in the R&B and hip-hop music scene during the 1990s.


Aside from his breakthrough hit, Montell Jordan released several other successful albums, including "More..." and "Let's Ride," which featured popular singles such as "Get It On Tonite" and "Once Upon a Time." He has also collaborated with various artists like Slick Rick and Master P. In addition to his music career, Jordan became a minister in the mid-2000s and currently serves as the worship pastor at Victory World Church in Norcross, Georgia.
