Montgomery Gentry was an American country music duo formed by Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. They were known for their southern rock and honky-tonk influenced sound, and achieved commercial success with hits like "My Town," "Something to Be Proud Of," and "Gone." The duo released nine studio albums between 1999 and 2015, with several of them reaching the top of the country music charts.
Tragically, Troy Gentry died in a helicopter crash in 2017, bringing an end to the duo. Eddie Montgomery continued to perform as a solo artist following Gentry's passing. Montgomery Gentry was known for their high-energy live performances and their ability to connect with audiences through their heartfelt lyrics and relatable songs about small-town life and American values.
