The duo released their debut album, "Tattoos & Scars," in 1999, which produced their first hit single, "Hillbilly Shoes." They went on to release several successful albums, including "My Town" and "You Do Your Thing." Montgomery Gentry was known for their blend of country, southern rock, and honky-tonk influences in their music.
Tragically, Troy Gentry died in a helicopter crash in 2017, leading to the disbandment of Montgomery Gentry. Eddie Montgomery has continued to perform as a solo artist, honoring the legacy of the duo.
