Montgomery Gentry was an American country music duo consisting of vocalists Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. The duo was formed in 1999 in Kentucky and quickly rose to fame in the country music scene. They released several hit albums, including "Tattoos & Scars," "My Town," and "Some People Change," which produced chart-topping singles such as "If You Ever Stop Loving Me" and "Lucky Man."
Known for their energetic live performances and blend of country and Southern rock influences, Montgomery Gentry won several awards throughout their career, including the Academy of Country Music's Duo of the Year award in 2000 and 2008. Tragically, Troy Gentry died in a helicopter crash in 2017, bringing an end to the duo. Eddie Montgomery continues to perform as a solo artist, keeping the legacy of Montgomery Gentry alive through their timeless music.
