Montgomery Gentry was an American country music duo formed by Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. They began their musical career in the 1990s and were known for their energetic live performances and Southern rock influences. The duo released several hit singles, including "My Town," "Something to Be Proud Of," and "Gone." They were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2009.
Tragically, Troy Gentry died in a helicopter crash in 2017, bringing an end to Montgomery Gentry as a duo. Eddie Montgomery continues to perform music as a solo artist, carrying on the legacy of Montgomery Gentry. Their music continues to be celebrated by fans of country music for its heartfelt lyrics and dynamic sound.
