Motley Crue is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1981. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars, bassist Nikki Sixx, and drummer Tommy Lee. Motley Crue is known for their wild and extravagant live performances, as well as their rebellious image and hard-hitting music.
The band achieved commercial success with their album "Dr. Feelgood" in 1989, which topped the Billboard 200 chart. Motley Crue has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands in history. They have also received several awards and nominations throughout their career, including multiple Grammy nominations. Motley Crue announced their retirement in 2015, following a final tour called "The Final Tour," but later reunited in 2018.
