Mountain gained fame with their debut album "Climbing!" in 1970, which featured their most well-known song "Mississippi Queen". The band's sound is characterized by heavy blues-rock and hard rock influences, with a focus on powerful guitar riffs and intense vocals.
Throughout their career, Mountain has experienced various line-up changes, with Leslie West being the only consistent member. The band has released a total of nine studio albums, with their most recent being "Masters of War" in 2007. Mountain continues to perform live shows and tour, showcasing their enduring influence and contribution to the rock music genre.
