The band's most well-known lineup consisted of Leslie West (guitar, vocals), Felix Pappalardi (bass, vocals), Corky Laing (drums), and Steve Knight (keyboards). They are best known for their hit song "Mississippi Queen" from their debut album "Climbing!" released in 1970. The song has since become a classic rock anthem.
Mountain is considered one of the pioneering bands of the hard rock genre, known for their heavy, blues-influenced sound and powerful live performances.
