Mudvayne is an American heavy metal band that formed in 1996 in Peoria, Illinois. The band consists of lead vocalist Chad Gray, guitarist Greg Tribbett, bassist Ryan Martinie, and drummer Matthew McDonough. Known for their unique visual appearance, which includes elaborate face paint and costumes, Mudvayne gained popularity in the early 2000s with their aggressive musical style and energetic live performances.
Mudvayne has released five studio albums, with their most successful being "The End of All Things to Come" and "Lost and Found," both of which achieved Gold certification in the United States. The band is known for their technical proficiency and genre-blending sound, incorporating elements of progressive metal, thrash metal, and alternative metal into their music. Mudvayne officially went on hiatus in 2010, with members pursuing other musical projects, but they reunited in 2021 for a series of festival appearances.
