Musiq, also known as Musiq Soulchild, is an American singer and songwriter who rose to fame in the early 2000s. Born Taalib Johnson on September 16, 1977, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Musiq's music is a fusion of R&B, soul, and hip-hop. He is known for his smooth vocals, introspective lyrics, and laid-back, neo-soul sound. Musiq's debut album, "Aijuswanaseing," was released in 2000 and produced the hit singles "Just Friends (Sunny)" and "Love." He has released several successful albums throughout his career, such as "Juslisen" (2002) and "Soulstar" (2003), earning critical acclaim and commercial success.
