My Chemical Romance is an American rock band formed in 2001 in New Jersey. The band consists of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way. They gained popularity with their second studio album, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," released in 2004, which featured hit singles like "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and "Helena."
In 2006, My Chemical Romance released their third studio album, "The Black Parade," which was a commercial success and earned critical acclaim. The album's lead single, "Welcome to the Black Parade," became one of their most well-known songs. The band continued to release music and tour extensively before going on hiatus in 2013. In 2019, they announced their reunion and released new music, including the album "The Black Parade / Living with Ghosts."
