Artist Bio:
Nat King Cole was an American jazz pianist and vocalist who achieved great success in the mid-20th century. Born on March 17, 1919, in Montgomery, Alabama, he began his music career playing in jazz clubs before eventually signing with Capitol Records in the 1940s. Cole's smooth, baritone voice and distinctive piano playing style helped him become one of the most popular and influential musicians of his time.


Throughout his career, Nat King Cole released numerous hit songs, including "Unforgettable," "Mona Lisa," and "L-O-V-E." He also became the first African-American to host a nationally televised variety show, "The Nat King Cole Show," in 1956. Cole received numerous awards and accolades for his contributions to music, including 21 Grammy nominations and 9 Grammy wins. He passed away on February 15, 1965, leaving behind a lasting legacy as one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time.
