Nat King Cole was an American jazz pianist and vocalist born on March 17, 1919, in Montgomery, Alabama. He began his music career as a jazz pianist before gaining fame as a singer with hits like "Unforgettable," "Mona Lisa," and "The Christmas Song." Cole was one of the first African American musicians to host a national television variety show, "The Nat King Cole Show," in the 1950s, breaking racial barriers in the entertainment industry.


Throughout his career, Nat King Cole released over a hundred singles and more than sixty albums, earning numerous awards including several Grammys. He was known for his smooth, baritone voice and impeccable phrasing, which made him one of the most successful and influential vocalists of his time. Cole's legacy continues to live on through his timeless music, with his songs remaining popular and influential in the world of jazz and popular music.
