Artist Bio:
Nat King Cole was an American singer and jazz pianist born on March 17, 1919, in Montgomery, Alabama. He rose to fame in the late 1940s and 1950s as a leading jazz pianist and became one of the most popular and successful African American entertainers of his time. Cole is best known for his smooth vocal style and hit songs such as "Unforgettable," "Mona Lisa," and "The Christmas Song."

In addition to his music career, Nat King Cole made history as the first African American to host a nationally televised variety show, "The Nat King Cole Show," which premiered in 1956. Despite facing racial discrimination and challenges during his career, Cole's talent and charm helped him break down barriers and gain widespread popularity across racial lines.
