Nat King Cole was an American singer and jazz pianist born on March 17, 1919, in Montgomery, Alabama. He rose to fame in the 1940s and 1950s as a leading jazz pianist and later became one of the most popular and best-selling recording artists of all time. Cole was known for his smooth and velvety voice, as well as his impeccable phrasing and timing, which made him a household name.


Throughout his career, Nat King Cole released numerous hit songs, including "Unforgettable," "Mona Lisa," and "The Christmas Song." He also became the first African-American to host a nationally televised variety show, "The Nat King Cole Show," in 1956. Cole's legacy continues to live on through his timeless music, and he remains one of the most influential and admired artists in the history of jazz and popular music. Cole passed away on February 15, 1965, but his impact on the music industry is still felt today.
