Natural Four was an American soul and R&B vocal group formed in Oakland, California in the early 1970s. The group consisted of members Chris James, Allan Williams, Steve Striplin, and John January. They were signed to the Curtom Records label, founded by Curtis Mayfield, and released their self-titled debut album in 1974. The album featured their hit single "Can This Be Real," which peaked at number 31 on the Billboard R&B chart.
Natural Four's music was characterized by smooth harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and a blend of soul and funk influences. They released several albums throughout the 1970s, including "Heaven Right Here on Earth" and "Nightchaser."
