Neil Sedaka is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist who gained popularity in the late 1950s and early 1960s. He was born on March 13, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York. Sedaka has sold millions of records worldwide and has had numerous hit songs throughout his career.


Sedaka's music is characterized by his catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics, with hits such as "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do," "Calendar Girl," and "Oh! Carol." He has also written songs for other artists, including "Love Will Keep Us Together" for Captain & Tennille. Sedaka was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1983 and the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2006. He continues to perform and record music, showcasing his enduring talent and influence in the music industry.
