The Neon Philharmonic was a psychedelic pop/rock band formed in Nashville, Tennessee in the late 1960s. The group was led by songwriter and producer Tupper Saussy, who collaborated with musician Don Gant. Their most well-known song is "Morning Girl," which reached #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1969. The song featured lush orchestration and intricate vocal harmonies, characteristic of the band's eclectic and experimental sound.
The Neon Philharmonic released two albums, "The Moth Confesses" in 1969 and "The Neon Philharmonic" in 1970, before disbanding shortly after. Despite their brief career, the band left a lasting impact on the psychedelic music scene of the late 1960s with their unique blend of orchestral and rock elements.
