Artist Bio:
New Edition is an American R&B group formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1978. The group originally consisted of five members: Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, and Ralph Tresvant. They achieved great success in the 1980s with hits like "Candy Girl," "Cool It Now," and "Mr. Telephone Man." New Edition's combination of pop-friendly R&B and slick choreography made them one of the defining boy bands of the era.

In the late 1980s, Bobby Brown left the group to pursue a successful solo career, while the remaining members continued as a quartet. New Edition experienced a resurgence in the 2000s with successful reunion tours and albums. They were also the subject of a BET miniseries, "The New Edition Story," which premiered in 2017 and further solidified their status as R&B legends.
