New Order is an English rock band formed in 1980 in Salford, Greater Manchester. The band was formed by members of the post-punk group Joy Division after the death of their lead singer, Ian Curtis. New Order's original lineup included Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris, and Gillian Gilbert. They are known for integrating elements of electronic music into their traditional rock sound, helping to pioneer the genre of synth-pop.
Throughout their career, New Order has released a number of critically acclaimed albums, including "Power, Corruption & Lies" and "Technique."
