New Order is an English rock band formed in 1980 in Manchester by the remaining members of Joy Division after the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. The band consists of Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris, Gillian Gilbert, and Phil Cunningham. They are known for blending post-punk and electronic dance music, becoming pioneers of the alternative dance genre. Their debut album, "Movement," was released in 1981, followed by critically acclaimed albums such as "Power, Corruption & Lies" and "Low-Life."


New Order is best known for their hit songs "Blue Monday," "Bizarre Love Triangle," and "True Faith." They have been influential in shaping the sound of alternative and electronic music, with a career spanning over four decades.
