Nine, whose real name is Derrick Keyes, is an American rapper and member of the hip-hop group, Killarmy. He hails from New York City and gained recognition in the mid-1990s for his unique flow and lyrical prowess. Nine released his debut album, "Nine Livez," in 1995 on Profile Records. The album featured the hit single "Whutcha Want?" which helped establish Nine as a rising star in the hip-hop scene.


Following the success of his debut album, Nine released his second album, "Cloud 9," in 1996. The album featured production from well-known producers such as Rob Lewis and Funkmaster Flex. Nine's style is characterized by his aggressive delivery and gritty lyrics, which often touch on themes of street life and urban struggles. Despite not achieving mainstream commercial success, Nine is respected in the underground hip-hop community for his raw talent and authentic storytelling.
