He gained recognition as one half of the hip-hop duo Capone-N-Noreaga (C-N-N) alongside fellow rapper Capone. The duo released their debut album "The War Report" in 1997, which received critical acclaim and is considered a classic in the genre.

After Capone-N-Noreaga disbanded in the early 2000s, Noreaga pursued a solo career and released several successful albums, including "N.O.R.E." and "God's Favorite."
