Oingo Boingo was an American new wave band formed in 1979 in Los Angeles, California. The band was known for its eclectic sound, blending elements of new wave, ska, pop, and rock. Oingo Boingo gained a cult following for their energetic live performances and catchy, quirky songs. The band was fronted by singer-songwriter Danny Elfman, who also served as the main creative force behind the group.
Oingo Boingo released several albums throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, including "Only a Lad" (1981), "Dead Man's Party" (1985), and "Dark at the End of the Tunnel" (1990). Some of their most popular songs include "Weird Science," "Dead Man's Party," and "Just Another Day." After disbanding in 1995, Danny Elfman went on to have a successful career as a film composer, scoring numerous movies including those by director Tim Burton.
