One Direction was a British-Irish boy band formed in 2010 on the reality TV show, The X Factor. Consisting of members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson, the group quickly gained a massive following worldwide. Despite their immense success, One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, allowing the members to pursue solo careers.
