Artist Bio:
Otis Redding was an influential American soul singer and songwriter born on September 9, 1941, in Dawson, Georgia. He rose to fame in the 1960s with hits like "Respect" and "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay." Redding's powerful, emotive voice and energetic stage presence made him a standout performer in the music industry. He was known for his distinctive vocal style and ability to convey deep emotion in his songs.

Tragically, Redding's career was cut short when he died in a plane crash on December 10, 1967, at the age of 26. Despite his premature death, Otis Redding left a lasting impact on the world of soul music and is remembered as one of the greatest soul singers of all time. He was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
