Redding's music career began in the early 1960s, and he gained widespread recognition with his hit songs such as "Try a Little Tenderness," "I've Been Loving You Too Long," and his iconic rendition of "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay."


Redding's career was tragically cut short when he died in a plane crash on December 10, 1967, at the age of 26.
