The band's original lineup consisted of Charlie Allen (vocals), Tom Marshall (guitar), Brent Block (bass), Frank Petricca (keyboards), and Ron Woods (drums). They achieved commercial success in the late 1960s and early 1970s with their self-titled debut album, which included the hit single "Are You Ready?" The band's sound was characterized by a mix of blues, rock, and soul influences.
Pacific Gas and Electric released a total of four studio albums between 1968 and 1973, with their music often featuring powerful vocals and energetic instrumentals. Despite their initial success, the band faced challenges with lineup changes and shifting musical trends, leading to their eventual disbandment in the mid-1970s.
