Artist Bio:
Parliament was an American funk band formed in the late 1960s by George Clinton. The band was known for their eclectic style, combining funk, soul, and psychedelic elements in their music. Parliament released their debut album, "Osmium," in 1970, but it was their follow-up albums, "Mothership Connection" (1975) and "The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein" (1976), that brought them mainstream success.

Parliament's music often featured elaborate stage shows and elaborate costumes, with the band members adopting alter egos such as Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk and Dr. Funkenstein. The band's music was influential in the development of funk music and has been sampled by numerous hip-hop artists. Parliament was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
