Artist Bio:
Parliament was an American funk band formed in the late 1960s by George Clinton. The band was known for their eclectic and experimental approach to funk music, combining elements of soul, rock, and psychedelia. Parliament released a series of influential albums in the 1970s, including "Mothership Connection" and "The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein," which featured elaborate concepts and theatrical performances.

Parliament is often associated with their sister band, Funkadelic, with whom they shared members and a similar musical style. The two bands were collectively known as the P-Funk collective and were influential in the development of funk music during the 1970s. Parliament's music has been sampled by numerous hip-hop artists and continues to be celebrated for its innovative and boundary-pushing approach to funk music.
