Pat and the Satellites was a rock and roll band formed in the late 1970s in New York City. The band's lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Pat DiNizio, bassist Mike Mesaros, drummer Dennis Diken, and guitarist Jim Babjak. One of the band's most well-known songs is "Blood and Roses," which was a hit on college radio and helped establish them as a prominent act in the alternative rock scene. Pat and the Satellites released several albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including "Especially for You" and "Green Thoughts."
