Boone is best known for his smooth voice and clean-cut image, which appealed to a wide audience. He had a string of hit songs in the late 1950s and early 1960s, including "Love Letters in the Sand" and "April Love."


In addition to his music career, Boone also appeared in a number of films, including "April Love" and "State Fair." He later became a television personality and hosted his own variety show, "The Pat Boone Chevy Showroom." Boone is also a devout Christian and has written several books on faith and spirituality.
