Patrick Simmons is an American musician best known as a founding member of the rock band The Doobie Brothers. Born on October 19, 1948, in Aberdeen, Washington, Simmons is the lead guitarist and one of the primary songwriters for the band. He has been with The Doobie Brothers since its formation in 1970. Simmons has contributed to the band's success with his distinctive guitar playing and vocal harmonies.


In addition to his work with The Doobie Brothers, Patrick Simmons has also released solo albums, including "Arcade" in 1983 and "Take Me to the Highway" in 1998. He has collaborated with various artists over the years and continues to tour and perform with The Doobie Brothers. Simmons' contributions to the music industry have solidified his place as a respected and influential artist in the rock genre.
