Patti Austin is an American R&B, pop, and jazz singer who was born on August 10, 1950, in Harlem, New York. She started her career as a child prodigy, making her debut at the Apollo Theater at the age of four. Throughout her career, Austin has released over 20 albums and has worked with numerous artists, including Michael Jackson, George Benson, and Quincy Jones.
Austin is known for her versatile vocal range and smooth, soulful voice. She has been nominated for several Grammy Awards and has won one for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2008 for her collaboration with the WDR Big Band. In addition to her music career, Austin has also worked as a voice actress, lending her voice to various animated TV series and films.
