Artist Bio:
Patti LaBelle and The Blue Belles was an American vocal group formed in the early 1960s. The group originally consisted of Patti LaBelle, Nona Hendryx, Sarah Dash, and Cindy Birdsong. They were known for their soulful harmonies and their unique blend of doo-wop, R&B, and pop music. The group achieved moderate success in the 1960s with hits like "I Sold My Heart to the Junkman" and "Down the Aisle (The Wedding Song)."

In the late 1960s, Cindy Birdsong left the group to join The Supremes, and she was replaced by Sundray Tucker. The group continued to perform and record music under the name LaBelle, achieving greater success in the 1970s with hits like "Lady Marmalade." Patti LaBelle and The Blue Belles were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999 for their contributions to the music industry.
