Patti Page, born Clara Ann Fowler on November 8, 1927, was an American singer and actress. She was best known for her hit songs in the 1950s, including "Tennessee Waltz" and "How Much is That Doggie in the Window?". Page was one of the top-selling female artists of her time and was known for her smooth voice and versatile singing style that ranged from country to pop to jazz. She recorded over 1,000 songs and had 19 gold records and 15 platinum records throughout her career.
Page was also an accomplished actress, appearing in several films and television shows. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1960 film "Elmer Gantry". Patti Page was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. She passed away on January 1, 2013, at the age of 85.
