Artist Bio:
Patty Duke, born Anna Marie Duke in 1946, was an American actress who had a successful career in film, television, and theater. She gained fame as a child star in the 1960s, winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 16 for her role as Helen Keller in "The Miracle Worker" (1962). Duke went on to star in her own television show, "The Patty Duke Show," which aired from 1963 to 1966 and showcased her talent for portraying dual roles.


In addition to her acting career, Patty Duke was also a mental health advocate and author. She wrote a candid autobiography, "Call Me Anna," in which she detailed her struggles with bipolar disorder and the challenges she faced in her personal life. Duke was a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and worked to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness until her passing in 2016.
