Patty & The Emblems were an American soul vocal group formed in Camden, New Jersey in the 1960s. The group consisted of lead singer Patty Russell, along with members Leon Trent, Bill Walker, and Charles Boyer. They are best known for their hit single "Mixed-Up, Shook-Up Girl," which was released in 1964 and reached #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was later covered by various artists, further solidifying its place in soul music history.
Despite their initial success, Patty & The Emblems struggled to achieve further commercial recognition and eventually disbanded. However, their music continues to be celebrated by fans of classic soul and they are remembered for their contribution to the genre during the 1960s.
