Artist Bio:
Paul and Paula were an American pop singing duo, consisting of Ray Hildebrand and Jill Jackson. They are best known for their 1963 hit song "Hey Paula," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was written by Hildebrand and inspired by their real-life romance. "Hey Paula" also reached the top 10 in the UK and Canada.
Following the success of "Hey Paula," the duo released several more singles, including "Young Lovers" and "First Day Back at School," but none achieved the same level of success. Paul and Paula disbanded in 1965, with Hildebrand pursuing a career in Christian music and Jackson focusing on her family. Despite their brief time in the spotlight, Paul and Paula left a lasting impact on the pop music scene of the early 1960s.
